I have been designing projects for children and young people since 2007. A novel, artistic approach is important to me. That's why I develop each project individually together with my cooperation
partners and adapt it to the potential of the participants. My strengths are my knowledge of film technology and language, production techniques and processes that are crucial to the process. For
me, the focus is on creating a high-quality artistic end product with maximum creative freedom for the young people and the project management.
Good cooperation with the institution or project sponsor is essential for mutual success. I concentrate on film design and didactics. (Media) educational learning is only a by-product and is not
the focus of my work. If required, I am happy to involve experienced educators with whom I have worked well for many years.
Main focuses are: Music videos (in collaboration with musicians), animated films in daycare centers, experimental performance projects (in collaboration with Jody Korbach, performance artist), feature film and photo projects with international groups - refugees and young people who have grown up here (in collaboration with Charlotte Zilm, director and theater educator)
Balla Balla Pirates
Movie content: a pirate crew boards a merchant ship with a large treasure of gold. When transferring the gold to their ship, they pack everything onto one side of the pirate ship, causing it to
capsize. The gold sinks to the bottom of the sea and the pirates fall into the water. The captain now makes a run for it. His crew is simply too stupid for him. The parrot, who knows the
captain's commands well, now takes command. A project by Kunstreich im Pott e.V. in cooperation with FABIDO Familienzentrum Dürener Straße. Project management Ulrike Korbach, music and music

Children aged eight to fourteen created video clips in the form of associative performances. It all starts with an experiment. The children look for objects from the pool provided by the workshop
organizers and use them to playfully develop ideas. Prototype was an accompanying project to the "Moving Types" exhibition at the Dortmunder Us. This showed various film clips in which typography
played a key role. The children watched the exhibition and experimented with letters. One example sequence: one participant stuck two straws up his nose and the V was born. The others picked up
on this and created a series in the form of an alliteration: quarter to four, many birds lose. This resulted in an animated film in which many people lose their birds and a performance in which
the children play birds and a lion. The lion wins the roaring contest and many birds lose. All at a quarter to four, of course. The important thing with this project is to get the children out of
the prefabricated patterns they know from TV series or films and lead them to their own worlds of ideas.

Children (3-6 years old) from the Dürener Straße family center made an animated film about migration and living together in Germany. In the stop-motion film, the triangles leave their home
country so that the father can find work again. It was based on the stories of the parents, who talked about their migration history. As the parents were worried that a film about their migration
stories and living together in Germany could reinforce stereotypes, the story was told using shapes. The triangles leave their beautiful country to find work. They are not very welcome in the
land of squares. They simply don't fit in here. The movie tells the story of how they manage to integrate and what happens when the circles arrive. The children were able to get to grips with the
world of shapes because they had the corresponding construction kits in the daycare center. The question of fitting is crucial here: does a circle fit through the opening of a square? So the
transfer was not difficult for them. Leading the figure-making workshop: Turbo Prop Theater. Funding: Künste öffnen Welten (BKJ), Kultur macht stark. 1st place Camgaroo Award, category up to 10

The giraffe family is actually doing well in Africa until there are fights between rival rhino groups. So the giraffe family decides to flee to Europe on a ship, which little Kibu doesn't like at all. Things are peaceful with the zebras, but the grass is so dry that they also leave their home to avoid starvation. So the giraffes and zebras arrive in Europe, where they are not at all welcome at first. This film tells the story of how everything turns out for the better. A project by Kunstreich im Pott e.V. as part of Interkultur Bottrop. In cooperation with the Migration Department of the City of Bottrop and the Welheimer Mark kindergarten. The project began with the migration stories of parents and grandparents that existed before Kibu, then the kindergarten children from Welheimer Mark, together with their teachers and the filmmaker Ulrike Korbach, invented animals that have also come a long way to Germany. This is how they came up with giraffes. Prizes: 1st place German Youth Video Prize 2014, Project Prize Kinder- und Jugendkulturland NRW, nominated for the German Human Rights Prize
